Arriving by car:
Please note that our house is located in an environmental zone. You need a green particulate matter sticker for your car. Further information on the environmental zone can be found on the website Stadt Regensburg.
To reach the entrance to the public parking garage “Porta Praetoria”, please drive over “Speichergasse”, onto “Alten Kornmarkt”, then past the cathedral. You are now at the “Krauterermarkt” and you will see our hotel on the right-hand side. Now please turn right and immediately left again into “Weisse-Hahnen-Gasse”. This leads into “Thundorferstrasse”, which you also turn right into. At the end of the street you will see the “House of Bavarian History”. You drive to the right and immediately turn right again into the alley “Unter den Schwibbögen”. From there you have reached the entrance after about 200 hundred meters, which is to your left directly at the historic Roman tower, the “Porta Praetoria”. You drive through an archway into our inner courtyard. Please take a ticket at the barrier, which we will exchange for you at the reception
Arrival by train
You can reach us on foot via Maximilianstrasse. Distance approx. 950 meters You have the option of taking a taxi or the bus Taxis are available in front of the train station at the exit.
Arrival by bus:
Go through the overpass to the main entrance of Regensburg Central Station. From here, cross the Bahnhofstrasse in front of you After about 100 meters you will meet the bus station. There you can choose between the following bus routes:
- Linie 1: Direction Prüfening
- Linie 2: Direction Graß
- Linie 6: Direction Werner-Werk-Straße
- Linie 11: Direction Roter-Brach-Weg
The stop where you have to get off is Thundorfer Straße. The distance to the Hotel Bischofshof am Dom is approx. 150 meters

Parken & E-Mobilität
With our public / in-house underground car park, your journey by car is already relaxed at the planning stage. For a small fee, you can park directly at the house and in the middle of Regensburg’s old town. No parking spaces can be reserved. Two charging stations for electric cars will also be available shortly. Ecology and sustainability were the focus of the planning.

The Bischofshof am Dom is both a destination and a starting point. The old town of Regensburg with numerous cultural and historical attractions as well as a comfortable and varied shopping landscape is in an ambivalent balance with the surrounding area. Local recreation destinations such as the surrounding lakes invite you to relax. Small and large excursion boats are waiting for you on the nearby Danube. Popular excursion destinations in our vicinity, such as the Walhalla, the Liberation Hall and the Weltenburg Abbey, are easily accessible by car or, for sporty people, by bike.
